Step Into Your Light and Eclipse Your Fears
The Great American Solar Eclipse is on the horizon and it's dishing all kinds of energy into the atmosphere. One of the more powerful shifts that is affecting me personally is the push to ascend into my light from my shadow place.
The shadow place of fear and self-doubt. That "Negative-Nancy" that sits on my back and whispers in my ear that I shouldn't or can't do something. That what I have to offer is not good enough or not polished enough. Those negative thought forms are ever present in my shadow but I have, with time, meditation, prayer (yes, witches do pray) and practical magick, quieted those thoughts.
They have been quieted not because I have sought to destroy my ego, my shadow, but because I have faced them head on and have gotten brutally honest with myself about why I doubt myself.
Why do I self-sabotage? Why do I feel that what I have to offer the world is not good enough? Where did this fear originate?
I sat myself down and looked in the mirror and asked myself these questions and the answers were not all that difficult to realize. But once I faced those answers, the energy that my truth generated propelled me beyond the fear of failure. I stepped into my light. I stepped into my power. I eclipsed the fear of my shadow and the radiance of self-love broke through.
This total solar eclipse is a portal. It is a gateway for us on this Earthly plane to step from behind the shadow of the Moon. If you know anything about the Moon card in the tarot deck, it is about emotion, intuition and the subconscious mind. The Sun card is about courage, action, fulfillment and optimism. So if we are to translate the magickal symbolism of this total solar eclipse, we can say that after we have gone within ourselves and tapped into our inner power and intuition to gain foresight and knowledge, in order to fulfill our evolutionary process, we must step forward and into our truth with courage and confidence so that we can begin to live our true lives.
We can not stay in the same space as we are in now because doing so will only foster complacency and complacency does not promote growth. Things will have to change during this shift. Our relationships, commitments, mindset, obligations and behaviors must change if we are to evolve into a higher form of ourselves. That means we have to let go of people, places and things that no longer serve our highest good. No more mediocre mentality. No more just getting by. Be done with being just okay and embrace this cosmic shift as the gift that it really is. Correct your steps along your path if it has been calling for you to make a change.
And not everyone is ready for this change. Everyone is moving at their own pace in their own reality and some will not take that step forward. It takes courage to do so. These relationships are the ones that may need to change in our lives. This could mean you may need to help them evolve by being a beacon of light or like the Sun. This could also mean we must leave them in the shadow place that they chose to reside. Only you can decide. Be honest with yourself in examining what needs to be cultivated and what needs to be cut out. Only through truth, courage and self-love will you be able to make those decisions. Growth will not come without truth.
Step into your Light. Eclipse your fears and start living your best and most true life.
